Administrative Hearings – unless otherwise indicated, hearings may be held in open or closed session at the discretion of the licensee, pursuant to Iowa Code § 272C.6(1).  Deliberation by the Board at the conclusion of the hearing will be held in closed session pursuant to Iowa Code § 21.5(1)(f), to discuss the decision to be rendered in a contested case conducted according to the provisions of Iowa Code chapter 17A.

Public Comment Period—anyone who has submitted material for the agenda will be given an opportunity to address the Board during the particular agenda item.  A member of the public wishing to address the Board regarding a particular agenda item should raise a hand during that agenda item to be recognized. During the initial public comment period, members of the public will have the opportunity to address the Board regarding any items not on the agenda, or any agenda item if the person is unable to be present for the discussion of the particular agenda item.
